Before we could tell because she would leave little blood spots where ever she would sit, but the past few times they haven’t been as heavy.

So how do you tell if she’s ready or not? is she too old?

We took her to the vet and let her get the shot that is supposed to put her in heat for another week where she will not be pregnant. Well when we got home, I was putting a lock on my door to keep her contained, and they got together again! I called the vet and she said that it wouldnt matter as long as she did not mate the rest of the week because the shot took 24 hrs to take effect. Well we sent the male dog to my grandma and it has been a week today from when she got the shot. She still seems active but her nipples and vagina are still swollen, but she is not bleeding like she did when she was in heat. I called the vet again and she said that she is sure that she is not pregnant. Could this be a false pregnancy since she is a small dog?

My dog is a 10 year old miniature schnauzer and he never has had this problem before. He just recently (a couple nights ago) started pooping during the middle of the night when we are asleep. He is always on a consistent schedule and gets let out at least 3 times a day and I make sure that he poops at least once a day. He sleeps with us so I don’t think it is a matter of him being mad at us or anything like that. Any suggestions about what I should do?
